Challenge

As a part of a trial license, a Canadian based leader on marine transportation wanted to negotiate with their suppliers for MRO, in order to reduce the increasing costs.

Solution

On an initial step the client used their own RFQ outside of Scanmarket by Unit4 to present their requirements and collect the Initial pricing from the suppliers. After a shortlisting, 3 suppliers were then invited to compete in a Reverse Cherry Picking Auction. 

Result

The auction ended up lasting 40 minutes with a total of approximately 130 bids and drove total savings of 10%, with all 3 suppliers finishing the auction In a leading position on some of the lines.

Several spectators from the business were invited to monitor the eAuction who were overall very pleased with the process and the outcome of the eAuction.
